IT IS COMPULSORY:
-
to install a safety switch
equipment, in a visible and easily achievable position.
-
to wear
the appropriate personal safety devices (helmet, goggles, gloves, shoes, overalls, etc.) before
carrying out any operation on the UTA.
-
to make sure:
--
that all the power lines entering the UTA are disconnected and that they cannot be connected without
the consent of him who is carrying out the operation on it (for instance, we suggest to hang a visible
notice board on the circuit breaker and, in case, to remove its fuses too).
--
that the fan is completely standstill before getting access to its section inside.
--
of the internal conditions of the access zones by means of electric torches.
--
that the interception has been carried out and that the time necessary for cooling down the batteries
has elapsed before operating inside the treatment sections.
--
that all the removed safety and protection devices have been restored correctly before restarting the
UTA.
PAY ATTENTION
:
- to the safety locking of bands, ropes and hoisting hooks.
- when lifting the various sections, for their center of gravity might
be strongly misaligned.
- to the sheet edges inside the various sections or to the
protection roof angles, if it is already installed.
- to the servo-controlled gates, that might close rapidly if provided
with spring return, when the power supply of the servomotor is
switched off.
- not to get burnt with the heating batteries or the steam humidification systems.
DANGER OF ICING UP
In case of installation outdoors or in non-heated premises of particularly cold resorts, supply the hydraulic circuits with water mixed with
antifreeze substances.
Should the danger of icing up exists during the long period of system inactivity, in the usual water circuits foresee the total emptying of
batteries, drain-traps, trays an humidification devices.
In particular in the heat exchange batteries, whose circuits might keep some small quantities of water, we suggest after emptying, to add
always an antifreeze quantity equal to 30% approx. of its capacity, with interception at the outlet from the lowest manifold.
ALLOWANCE AREA
The minimum allowance area must be at least 1 meter on three
sides and equal to 1 meter + its width for the whole side from
which its inner components can be pulled out (trays, batteries,
fans, etc.) which normally is on the opposite side to hydraulic
connections
The installation area of the UTA must be always precluded to
the unauthorized personnel.
If the unit shall be installed in a special technical premise, it
must be provided with a safety door that can be opened from
the inside outwards, with antipanic push-handle.
On the contrary, if it is installed outdoors, in an open area or on
terraces, the allowance area, with the above-said dimensions,
must be considered as "dangerous zone" and, therefore, the
access to it must be precluded by means of a metal net,
prefabricated walls or panels along the whole perimeter and
provided with its own access door.
In case of hanging installation, the allowance area is the same as required around the protection of the UTA on the ground.
