2.4 Memory Support and Installation

Memory Support

The X11DPG-OT-CPU supports up to 3TB 3DS Load Reduced DIMM (3DS LRDIMM) Load
Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM), 3DS Registered DIMM (3DS RDIMM) Registered DIMM (RDIMM),
DDR4 (288-pin) ECC 2666/2400/2133 MHz memory modules in 24 slots. Populating these
DIMM modules with a pair of memory modules of the same type and size will result in
interleaved memory, which will improve memory performance.
Notes: 1. Please follow the DIMM population tables listed in this chapter to install the
DIMM modules on your motherboard. 2. Using an unbalanced memory topology by
installing two DIMMs in one channel while installing one DIMM in another channel will
result in reduced memory performance. 3. Memory speed is dependent on the type of
processors used in your system.
