4. Installation of the supporting tube system
The air-termination masts must be positioned adjacent to the structure to be protected or scattered over
the roof surface so that, starting from the metal air-termination tip, a protected volume is created for the
object to be protected or the entire roof surface and for the
HVI light
Conductor.
4.1 Models
According to the requirements on the local conditions, various air-termination masts with different diameters
are available (see Fig. 3.1 and 3.2, page 9 and 10 as well as Table 2, page 16).
4.1.1 Fixing at the air-termination mast 30/50
Position the connecting plate above the top end of the supporting tube and tighten it with the two lock
nuts (2x M8 self-locking nuts with serrated bearing) using a tightening torque of 15 Nm.
After assembling the conductors by means of the connection elements (according to chapter 3., page 7),
HVI light Conductors
to the connecting plate by means of the M12 nut and the spring
mount the four
washer according to Fig. 3.1, page 9 and Fig. 3.2, page 10 using a tightening torque of 25 Nm.
Mount the fixing ring to the supporting tube as shown Fig. 3.1, page 9 and Fig. 3.2, page 10. Tighten the
fixing ring to the supporting tube via the lock screw (M8 hexagon screw) using a tightening torque of
15 Nm.
