Operation

With the exception of the power line switch, the operating elements of the power unit are on the front
panel.
The operation is limited to:

– Switch for motor selection

– Switch for internal/external program selection

– Program selector switch

– Key switch for NIO acknowledgement
– IO sums counter
– Error acknowledgement
2.9.1 Switch for Motor Selection
With the "MOTOR" switch, the power unit can be adapted to the type of motor connected. At delivery,
the motor selector switch is set to EC 48.
– Set the type of connected motor with rotary switch "MOTOR" (EC 37/EC 48).
– The setting is indicated by lighting of LED "EC 37" or "EC 48" .

2.9.2 Switch for Internal/External Program Selection
Internal and external program selection can be toggled with the "PROGRAMM" switch. The current set-
ting is indicated by LEDs on the front panel.
Setting of program selection:
– Internal (LED near program selector switch lights):
– External ("EXTERN" LED lights):
At delivery, the program selection is set to internal. The switch-over must be made with a power tool
(3 mm).
2.9.3 Program Selector Switch
Power tool programs can be selected via two buttons (forward/backward) on the program selector
switch. The current setting is indicated with numbers from 0 ... 15.
For operation with current control (e.g. ST1), two power tool programs for tightening and one for loose-
ning bolted connections are available:
– Program „0" (SSR P0)
– Program „1" (SSR P1)
– Program „15" (SLL)
This implies for the use of the program selector switch:
– Even numbers (0, 2, 4 ...14) Program „0"
– Odd numbers (1, 3, 5 ...13) Program „1"
For operation with external control (e.g. SE 200), all programs (0 ... 15) can be assigned or selected.
The program selector switch is activated when the LED next to it lights.

When connecting power tools ECHxx and ECHxx, the rotary switch must be set to EC48.
An adapter box is necessary to connect an EC motor (order number upon request).
The power tool programs can be selected via the program selector switch on the front panel of the
power module.
The power tool programs can be selected via user interface X13 with a hex code.
