Maintenance - Beyerdynamic MCE 10 Product Information

Thank you for selecting the MCE 10
condenser microphone. Please take some time to
read carefully through this product information
before setting up the equipment.
Applications
The MCE 10 has
unobtrusive miking of speech and instruments,
especially in live broadcasts, theatre (musical),
lectures etc. Due to the hypercardioid polar pattern
the MCE 10 has a high-gain-before-feedback.
Mounting
The supplied mic clip enables secure
mounting to clothing, but there are also special
mounting clamps available for attaching the MCE 10
to instruments.
For optimum performance the MCE 10 should be
mounted so that it points towards the sound source.
If using outdoors attach the supplied wind shield.
To avoid cable friction noise make sure that the
cable is also retained by the clamp.

Maintenance

Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning the
MCE 10 microphone, connecting cable and WS 10
wind shield. If necessary, you can use a gentle
cleansing agent (such as washing-up liquid). Take
care not to allow any water to enter the transducer
elements and do not use any solvent cleansers.
You can clean the ZWS 10 foam wind shield in clear
water. The polyurethane foam wind shield has to be
completely dry before it is used again.
