ASSEMBLY To assemble adjustable base, complete the following procedure: STEP 1 Open the base shipping carton and verify the following items are included: WARRANTY (batteries not included) ACTIVATION CARD OWNERS MANUAL QUICK SETUP GUIDE REMOTE CONTROL MATTRESS RETAINER POWER DOWN DEVICE (2) 9 volt batteries not included (4 pieces) 2-AAA BATTERIES... - Page 6 ASSEMBLY STEP 2 Extend the main power cord out head end of base. Set the hardware box aside. Cut the zip-tie and remove the mattress retainer. WARNING POWER CORDS MUST NOT INTERFERE WITH ANY ADJUSTABLE BASE MECHANISMS. DO NOT WEAVE CORDS THROUGH BASE STRUCTURE.
- Page 7 ASSEMBLY STEP 5 Remove remaining packaging and any protective film. STEP 6 Plug the base into an electrical power source. Note: An electrical surge protection device is recommended, but not included. STEP 7 Install 2-AAA batteries in the remote control (FIGURE 2). Operate remote control to verify base functions properly.
- Page 8 ASSEMBLY MATTRESS RETAINER INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL) Base is equipped with a Micro-Hook™ system to captivate the mattress as shown in FIGURE 3, but a mattress retainer can also be used. Important: If using a dust ruffle or mattress encasement with this product, a mattress retainer must be used.

REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION FLAT BUTTON LOCK BUTTON To lock / unlock the remote control Press and hold to lower the base to the flat position. This button will also turn buttons, press and hold lock button for off the massage motors and underbed 3 seconds. -

REMOTE CONTROL P ROGRAMMING ONE REMOTE TO OPERATE ONE BASE ONE REMOTE TO OPERATE TWO BASES STEP 1 STEP 1 Unplug base for 3 minutes, then plug back in. Unplug BOTH bases for 3 minutes, then plug BASE 1 back in. P OWER DOWN OP ERATION Use this procedure to lower the base to flat during a power outage. Do NOT put batteries in power down device until necessary for use. Note: Power down device uses 9-volt alkaline batteries, which are not included. STEP 1 Unplug base from electrical power supply. - Page 14 P OWER DOWN OP ERATION STEP 4 Connect control box connection cord to power down device (FIGURE 7). TROUBLESHOOTING If the adjustable base fails to operate, investigate the symptoms and possible solutions provided in the chart below: SOLUTION SYMP TOM electrical outlet. A grounded, electrical surge protection device is recommended. Test outlet by plugging in another working appliance. Remote control illuminates and appears to be operable, but will not activate base. -
