Suction hose at brush head
Roller brush/brush head
Note
Remove the brush cover if necessary to
make the work easier (see "Cleaning the
roller brush").
Motor not running
No electrical voltage present
 Check the power socket and power sup-
ply fuse.
 Check the mains cable and the mains
plug of the device.
 Check the mains cable plug connection
at the handle.
The thermal protection switch has switched
off the motor due to overheating
 Check the filter and suction hose. Re-
place the used filter or remove the block-
age from the suction hose.
 Allow the appliance to cool down.
Rattling noise when switching off
Note
The roller brush is equipped with a slip
clutch that releases to protect the roller
brush from damage when excessively large
or blocking objects are sucked in.
Note
The clutch only engages again when the
device is switched off, which results in a
loud rattling noise if the foreign object has
not been removed.
 Check the roller brush for blocking ob-
jects and remove these if present. The
noise is no longer present when the de-
vice is switched on again.

Unsatisfactory vacuuming result
 Check the roller brush for blocking ob-
jects and remove these if present.
 Remove blockages from the brush head,
suction pipe and suction hose.
 Replace the filter bag.
 Replace the exhaust filter or motor pro-
tection filter.
 Set the fibre height selection knob to the
correct setting .
 Replace the roller brush.
Filter indicator lamp lights up orange
 Remove blockages from the brush head,
suction pipe and suction hose.
 Replace the filter bag.
Customer Service department
If the malfunction cannot be corrected, the
device must be checked by the Customer
Service department.
The warranty conditions issued by our rele-
vant sales company apply in all countries.
We shall remedy possible malfunctions on
your appliance within the warranty period
free of cost, provided that a material or
manufacturing defect is the cause. In a war-
ranty case, please contact your dealer (with
the purchase receipt) or the next author-
ised customer service site.
