3.4.4
USB interface (for the service technician)
The CMXR modular control system includes one USB Master.
The USB connection (X8) is used solely for diagnostic purposes. Using the appropriate
software, diagnostic data (status reports) and program data generated by the device can
be copied onto a USB stick via the USB interface.
3.4.5
Rotary switch (reserved for expansion)
Two rotary switches are located on the top right side of the housing for the central mod-
ule. These rotary switches are planned for later expansions (factory setting = 0).
3.4.6
CAN interface X6
For the servo controller connection, a 9-pin CAN connection is located on the central con-
trol module (Sub-D plug). This connection is used as an incoming and continuing field bus
cable.
