– Bring entire surface of cuff -arrow- in contact with mounting
bracket.
– Install selector mechanism

Removing and installing cover

2.6.1 Removing
– Remove selector lever handle
– Procedure for disconnecting the battery must strictly be fol‐
lowed.
– With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ⇒ Electrical sys‐
tem; Rep. gr. 27 ; Disconnecting and connecting battery .
– Remove cover for centre console ⇒ General body repairs,
interior; Rep. gr. 68 ; Compartments, covers and trims; Re‐
moving and installing centre console .
– Pull off connector -1-.
– Carefully pull catches -2- on left and right off frame.
2.6.2 Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. During this step, observe the
following:
– Install cover for centre console ⇒ General body repairs, inte‐
rior; Rep. gr. 68 ; Compartments, covers and trims; Removing
and installing centre console .
– Connect battery ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27 ; Battery;
Disconnecting and connecting battery .
– Install selector lever handle
