■ CLEANING FUEL FILTER

CAUTION
The cleaning and replacement of the fuel filter
should be done with the engine shut down. Keep
open flame away from the work place.
Loosen the nut and remove the bowl. Remove the
element and clean.
When reinstalling the bowl, remember to install the
packing. Tighten the nut securely.

contamination or water from the filter.
■ CHANGING FUEL FILTER
Diesel-powered trucks
CAUTION
Wipe away any spilt fuel around the fuel filter.
There is a danger of causing a fire hazard.
Using a filter wrench, remove the fuel case from the
cover.
Remove the sedimenter sensor from under the filter
case. Install the sedimenter sensor to a new filter case.
Install the new filter case into the cover.
