Switching the Ink


Switch the ink cartridges. (Required time: Approx. 20 to 25 minutes)


• Cyan (C)
• Magenta (M)
• Yellow (Y)
• Black (K)
• Light cyan (Lc)
• Light magenta (Lm)
• White (WH)
• Metallic silver (MT)




When the screen on the left is displayed, remove all the SOL INK
cleaning cartridges.
Set in place new ink cartridges.
For white and metallic silver, use MAX 2 ink cartridges.For all other colors, use MAX
3 ink cartridges.
When the screen on the left is displayed, remove the drain bottle and
discard the discharged fluid.
Use the included funnel to transfer the discharged fluid from one drain bottle to
another.
Install the drain bottle.

Hereafter, the screen on the left is repeatedly displayed. Follow the on-screen instruc-
tions and repeat steps
If an ink cartridge becomes empty partway through the procedure, a buzzer will
sound, and the slot number of the empty cartridge will flash. Pull out the empty
cartridge and insert a new one.
After performing these operations multiple times, the screen shown in the figure
appears, and then cleaning starts.
When the screen shown in the figure appears, the ink switching operation is finished.
Proceed to the next procedure.
Ink Switching Method
Before you insert the new ink cartridge
for each color, gently shake the cartridge.
Use MAX 3 ink.
Use MAX 2 ink.
