OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE
For the tire inspection, refer to "Tires" in
the
"INSPECTION
AND
MAINTE-
NANCE."
3) After the tire inspection or tire pressure
adjustment, turn the ignition switch to
the "ON" position. When the TPMS
reset switch is pushed for 3 seconds
when the vehicle is parked, the low tire
pressure warning light will blink for 5
seconds and turn off. Release the
switch when the light starts blinking.
4) The initialization will complete when the
light is turned off.
5) After driving for a while, the TPMS sys-
tem will detect the proper condition of
the tire pressure and the warning sys-
tem will be ready.
The low tire pressure warning light illumi-
nates or blinks when the ignition switch is
turned to the "ON" position in the condition
below.
When the low tire pressure warning light is
lit, one or more of your tires is significantly
under-inflated. This system does not oper-
ate when the speed is less than approxi-
mately 35 km/h.
3-33
When this light is lit, cool down the tire
temperature.
Then check the tire pressure and adjust it
to the value specified in the tire information
label.
After the tire pressure is adjusted, push the
TPMS reset switch for 3 seconds or more
to initialize the system. When initialization
is set, the light will blink at a faster speed
for 5 seconds and then turn off.
When the TPMS system is normal and
drop of the tire pressure is not detected,
the light will turn off after it is lit for 2 sec-
onds when the ignition switch is turned to
the "ON" position.
When performing the initialization, push
the TPMS reset switch after this lights
goes out.
When the system detects a TPMS mal-
function, this light will blink at a slower
speed for about 75 seconds and then
remain continuously illuminated.
This sequence will be repeated after the
52D305
ignition switch is turned to the "ON" posi-
tion as long as the malfunction exists.
If the low tire pressure warning light blinks,
have your vehicle inspected by an autho-
rized SUZUKI dealer.
WARNING
• Air pressures should be checked
when the tires are cold or you may
get inaccurate readings.
• Check the inflation pressure from
time to time while inflating the tire
gradually, until the specified pres-
sure is obtained.
• The low tire pressure may be
caused by flat tire. Park the vehicle
at a safe place as soon as possible
and check your tires.
• Make sure that all 4 tires are at the
specified tire pressure and the tire
temperature is lowered, before
making adjustment.
• Check the tire pressure at least
once a month.
• Do not push the TPMS reset switch
while driving. The proper condition
of the tire pressure cannot be
detected and the TPMS system
does not operate properly.
