Checksparkplug yearlyor every 100operatinghours.
1.
Removechoke controlknoband safety key.
2.
Loosenand removethe mountingscrewsfrom the snow hood.
3.
Slowlyremovethe snow hood,makingsurethat the primerbulb
hoseand ignitionwireremainconnected. S ee Figure15.
4.
Removeand inspectspark plug.
5.
Replacespark plug if porcelainis crackedor if electrodesare
pitted,burnedor fouledwith deposits.
6.
Checkelectrodegap with a feelergaugeand set gap to .030
(0.76mm)if necessary.See Figure16.
7.
Reinstallspark plugand tightensecurely.
8.
Remountthesnow hoodto theengine with themountingscrews,
again makingsure theprimerbulb hoseand ignitionwireare
connected.
9.
Connectthe chokecontrolknob tothe chokeshaft on the
carburetor.If the chokecontrol knobis not installedcorrectly,the
chokewill notoperate.
10. Installthe safetykey.

Avoidseriousinjuryor death,DO NOTmodifyenginein anyway.
Tampering with the governorsettingcancause theengineand
equipmentto operateat unsafespeeds.NEVERtamperwith factory
settingof enginegovernor.Runningthe enginefasterthanthe speed
set at thefactory is dangerous.
At leastonce a seasonor after every25 hoursof operation,remove
rear cover.Lubricateall chains,sprockets,gears,bearings,shafts,and
the shiftingmechanism.Useengineoil or a spray lubricant.Referto
Figure17.
NOTE:Be carefulnotto get any oil on thealuminumdrive plateor
rubberfrictionwheel.Doingso will hinderthe snowthrower'sdrive
system.Wipeoff anyexcessor spilledoil.

with a multipurpose automotivegreasebeforereinstallingwheels.
