equipmentneedsto be stored properly.Followstorageinstructionsbelowto ensuretop performance from the snowthrowerfor manymoreyears.
PREPARING
ENGINE
Forenginesstoredover30 days:
1. Topreventgum fromforming in fuel systemor on essentialcarbure-
tor parts:
a. If fueltank containsoxygenated or reformulated gasoline
(gasolineblendedwith an alcoholor ether), run engineuntil it stops
from lack of fuel.
Alcoholblendedfuels (calledgasoholor usingethanolor methanol)
canattract moisturewhichleadsto separationand formationof acids
duringstorage.Acidicgas candamagethe fuelsystemof an engine I
_wh e n storage.

b. If fueltank containsgasoline,eitherrun engineuntilit stopsfrom
lack of fuel or add a gasolineadditiveto the gas in the tank.If you
usea gas additive,run the enginefor severalminutesto circulate
the additivethroughthecarburetor.
Neverstoresnowthrowerwith fuel in tank indoorsor in poorlyventi-
latedareas,wherefuelfumesmay reachan open flame,spark or pilo
| ght as on a furnace,water heater,clothesdryer or gas appliance.
2. Whiletheengine is still warm,changethe oil.
3. Removethe spark plug and pourabout 1/2 ounceof engineoil
throughthe spark plug holeinto the cylinder.Replacespark plug
and crankthe engineseveraltimesto distributethe oil.

age shed, careshouldbe taken to rustprooftheequipment.Using
a light oil or silicone,coat the equipment,especiallyanychains,
springs,bearingsand cables.
