    4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Installation of safety guard The safety guards (2) are supplied on a pallet dismounted from the rotor head as complete unit. The safety guards (2) are fastened to the rotor head with four screws (3) each. The safety guard (2) should be easy to swivel between the washers in position (1).

    4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Installation of hydraulic lock (optional equipment) For the rotary rakes R+ 760 and R+ 820 a hydraulic lock- ing device is available as optional equipment for the left- hand side rotor. The locking device make possible to work with only one rotor, for instance along the field boundary.

You can do this whit the installation of the extra wheels (1). The extra wheels (1) are supplied as optional equipment.

    4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Adjustment of working width The rotary rakes R+ 760 and R+ 820 can be set to three different working widths. You can do this adjustment only when the implement is in transport position. NOTE: Close the stop cock of the hydraulic hose during the adjustment.

  • Page 56 4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Placement of cord NOTICE: You must place the operating parts (cords, chains, rods etc.) for remote control equipment so that the operating parts do not cause unintended movements in transport and during the work. It should be possible to operate the cord for the locking pawl from the tractor seat.

    4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft – Shorten Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft length NOTE: Do not shorten your new Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft until you are certain that it is necessary. From the factory the distance from PTO to Power Input Connection (PIC) is standard on most tractor brands.
  • Page 60 4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Shortening the PTO shaft To shorten the PTO shaft proceed as follows. 1. Fasten the PTO shaft half parts to the PTO (on the tractor) and the PIC (on the implement). The PTO shaft half parts must be at the same horizontal level, opposite each other at the shortest distance from the tractor.

    Road transport Travelling on public roads Connection of lighting equipment The rakes R+ 760 and R+ 820 are equipped with light- ing according to current rules. The lighting system is equipped with a seven pole plug at the lighting cable. This plug is connected to the lighting socket on the tractor.
  • Page 62 5 - TRANSPORT OPERATIONS Transport Always use the transport safety device and the stop valves of the lifting cylinder during transport. NOTICE: Make sure that the locking pawls have been locked correctly in transport position. NOTICE: The ball valve of the hydraulic hose must be closed.

NOTICE: Check that there are no obstacles, for example trees, masts etc., which may hinder the folding.

Set the hydraulic outlet to floating position so that the rotor arms go down into the locking pawls.

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Basic adjustment NOTICE: During the basic adjustment the rotor must be STOP. NOTICE: Stop the engine of the tractor and remove the key. NOTICE: Never work under the rotors without sufficient support. Height of the link arms Adjust the link arms of the tractor to a height of 68 cm (27 in) above the ground.
  • Page 72 6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Adjustment of crop delivery time For adjustment of the crop delivery time, change the po- sition of the cam track in the rotor. The adjustment device is placed under the rotor. The factory set the adjustment to 70 mm (3 in) (A). If the crop delivery time should be later or earlier, change the adjustment as follows.

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Starting the rotor Connect the tractor Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft at idle speed and increase the number of Revolutions Per Minute to 380 – 450 RPM. The implement has the best working quality if the number of RPM is in this area. The implement is now ready for operation.

This means that the implement approximately follows the track of the tractor. This means that the implement has a very good manoeuvrability. A stop under the front frame secures the suspension against too sharp turns.
