6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Working Depth control Adjust the side mounted skids (1) to regulate the tillage depth. ZEIL18TIL0284BA To adjust the skids proceed as follows: 1. Remove the bolt (2) from the adjusting bar (3). 2. There are four holes (4) on the adjusting bar. Change the hole to position the skid (1) to the required working depth.
  • Page 39: Adjustments

6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Adjustments Through simple adjustments the rotavator will produce a range of tilths in most soil types and handle various cul- tivation techniques, for example weed control, seedbed preparation, trash and chemical incorporation. As a general principle a combination of a slow tractor speed and a lowered trailing board produces fine tilths.
  • Page 40: Working Operations

    1. Set the depth control skids to the required tillage depth (see Page 6-6). 2. Select a trial trailing board position and a rotor speed (only for R400 SS models) to give the type of tilth re- quired. 3. Engage the tractor Power Take-Off (PTO) and drive forward, progressively lowering the rotavator into the ground.

7 - MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE###_7_### General information Recommendations Failure to follow recommended maintenance may jeopar- dise safety and will reduce the lifespan of the rotavator. Records of periodic maintenance are important as they detail when and who carried out the last maintenance and inspection.
