MIC-1816 supports either 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog inputs.

Single-Ended Channel Connections

Single-ended connections use only one signal wire per channel. The voltage on the
line references the common ground on the card. Signal sources without a local
ground are called "floating" sources. A single-ended channel can be easily connected
to a floating signal source. The standard wiring configuration is shown below.

Digital Ground. This pin supplies the refer-
ence for the digital channels at the I/O con-
nector as well as the 5 V and 12 V DC
supply. The ground references (AGND and
DGND) are connected on MIC-1816.
Counter 0/1 External Clock Input. The
clock input of counters can be either external
(up to 10MHz) or internal (20MHz), as set by
software.

Counter 0/1 Gate Control
+12V DC Source. This pin provides 12 V DC
power supply for external use (0.1A maxi-
mum).
+5V DC Source. This pin provides 5 V DC
power supply for external use (0.3A maxi-
mum).
