H3C S3610&S5510 Series Ethernet Switches

4.4 Multicast VLAN Configuration Example

I. Network requirements
IGMP and PIM-DM are enabled on Router A's Ethernet 1/0/1.
Switch A's Ethernet1/0/1 belongs to VLAN1024, Ethernet 1/0/2 through Ethernet
1/0/6 belong to VLAN11 through VLAN15 respectively. Host A through Host E are
respectively connected to Ethernet1/0/2 through Ethernet1/0/6 of Switch A.
Configure the multicast VLAN feature so that Router A just sends multicast data to
VLAN1024 rather than to each VLAN when the five hosts attached to Switch A
need the multicast data.
