Safety Operation

Never use the current clamp at substations which carry a potential higher
than 600 V with respect to earth!
Never put the current clamp around any live wires if it is not connected to
a measurement device!
When grasping cables or current busbars with the current clamp, make
sure that they are well-centered and perpendicular to the clamp!
Keep the enclosed wire as far as possible from adjacent wires to prevent
distortions due to magnetical interference fields!
When replacing the battery, the current clamp power switch has to be in
the "OFF" position and the clamp must be separated from busbar and
the measurement device!
Do not use the current clamp if it is damaged or you detect indications of
a possible defect! This may be hazardous to life.
