Maintenance and Service

6.1

Storage

If you either store or do not use C-Probe 1 for a longer period of time, please
remove the battery and store it separately. The battery acid may run out,
which would result in a damage of the current clamp.
6.2

Cleaning

Prior to cleaning C-Probe 1, disconnect it from all peripheral devices.
Never dip the clamp into water!
Make sure that the air gap respectively the clamp jaws are clean.
To prevent the clamp from possible corrsosion, occasionally clean the
clamp surfaces with a slightly oiled smooth cloth.
Clean the housing with a moist cloth and a bit of soap water. Afterwards
dry the housing with a dry cloth or a hair-drier (max. 80° C).
6.3

Service and Calibration

Should there be a reason for complaint, please contact our service
department or local subsidiary, and give them a detailed report of the reason
for the complaint.
The addresses are listed in section "Manufacturer Contact Information" on
page 29.
Only trained personnel are allowed to perform service and recalibration
work. In case of repair or maintenance work, please note that the
constructional characteristics of the device may not be changed due to
safety reasons.
Only use original spare parts. The manufacturer cannpt be held liable for
damages caused by improper repair or wrong spare components.
To keep the measurement accuracy the current clamp must be calibrated
regularly.
If the current clap is only used occasionally, we recommend an annual
check. In case of daily usage, a check every six months is recommended.
If a calibration is required, please contact our service department or your
local subsidiary.
