    Principle Rules for Usage • C-Probe 1 should only be used when in a technically sound condition. Its use should be in accordance with the regulations, in a safe manner, and mindful of the dangers. In particular, avoid disruptions that could in turn affect safety.

    IEC 1010 regulation! • Ensure that the input sockets are grounded or appropriately isolated! Warranty There is a 12 months warranty period on C-Probe 1, starting with the delivery date. The warranty is limited exclusively to faulty material or manufacturing defects.

    Figure 5-1: Zero adjustment 1. Connect C-Probe 1 to a DC voltmeter, e.g. to the Analog DC Input of the CMC 256 test set. 2. Select a measurement range with a resolution of at least 10 mV.

    2. Perform a zero adjustment, if required (for example with the Analog DC Input of the CMC 256 test set). 3. Connect C-Probe 1 to one of the analog outputs of the CMC 256 test set (red = +, black = -).

    Operation Note: If remanence effects occur after measuring high DC currents, these effects can be eliminated either by opening and closing the clamp jaws several times (without a grasped wire!) or by exposing the clamp to a decreasing magnetic field.     Maintenance and Service Storage If you either store or do not use C-Probe 1 for a longer period of time, please remove the battery and store it separately. The battery acid may run out, which would result in a damage of the current clamp.
