Alarm messages

The following alarm messages can be shown in alternation with the temperature display:
Alarm display
9999 flashes

Cause
Gone above measured value
The measured value is too large, is
outside the range, or a probe has
broken.
Gone below measured value
The measured value is too small, is
outside the range, or a probe short-
circuit has occurred.
Remedy

Check probe and connecting cable for damage or
short-circuit
