whenanymaintenanceworkorrepairsarecarriedout.
Temperature Selection
Thewatertemperaturecanbeadjustedasrequiredusingthetempe-
ratureselectionknob.Thetemperatureselectionknobislocatedonthe
lowercover(seeFigure1).
Withlowhot-waterconsumptionorwithveryhardwater,itisrecom-
mendedtoselecttheenergy-savingsetting"E"(approx.55to60°C).
Theappliancereheatsautomaticallyatcertainintervalsorwhenhot
waterisdrawn.

Wall mounting
Fitthewall-mountedstorageheatersPSH30-200TMwiththewater
connectionsatthebottominafrost-proofroomnexttotheconnection
point.
Thematerialsusedtomounttheappliancemustbeselectedaccording
tothestrengthofthewall.Thecombinedweightofthestorageheaters
andtheirwaterfilling(seethetable"Technicalspecifications")mustbe
takenintoconsideration.

Dependingontheappliancetype,themountingbracketsforvertical
installationareanintegralpartofthestorageheater.
Water connection
Theappliancemustbeconnectedtothewatersystembyanauthorised
specialisttechnician,takingtheapplicableinstallationinstructionsand
therelevantstandardsandregulationsintoconsideration.
Thewaterconnectionisclosed(pressure-proof)andsuppliesseveral
drawingpoints.
Thewall-mountedstoragewaterheaterissuitableforconnectionto
plasticpipesystems.
Informationonconnectingtoplasticpipesystems:Intheeventofmal-
functions,temperaturesofupto95°C(max.0.6MPa)canoccur.Any
plasticpipesusedmustbedesignedfortheseconditions.
If the water pressure is higher than 5 bar, a pressure reducer
must be fitted in the cold‑water supply line.
Beforeconnectingthestorageheatertothewaterpipe,rinseoutthe
pipethoroughlytopreventanyforeignobjectsfromenteringthestorage
heaterorthesafetyequipment.Itisrecommendedtoinstallthestorage
heaterinthewayshowninFigure3.
The storage heater must always be installed together with an
approved diaphragm safety valve.

Itisonlyadvisabletodisconnectthestorageheaterfromthepower
supplyifitistoremainunusedforarelativelylongperiodoftime.Heat
lossisminimisedbythehigh-qualityheat-insulationmaterialmadeof
CFC-freepolyurethanefoam.
Thestorageheatermustbedrainedifthereisariskofexposuretosub-
zerotemperatures.

Thesafetyinformationgivenintheinstallationinstructionsforthedia-
phragmsafetyvalvemustbeobserved.
Thesafetyvalvemustbecheckedtoensurethatitisfunctioningcorrect-
ly.
Thesafetyvalveprotectsthestorageheaterfromexcessiveincreasesin
pressure.TheEWHBasisstorageheatersarefittedwithasafetyvalve
withoutnon-returnvalveasanaccessory.TheEWHBasisNwall-moun-
tedstorageheatersarefittedwithasafetyvalvewithnon-returnvalve
asanaccessory.Thesafetyvalvemustbeactuatedatregularintervalsto
preventitfromjammingasaresultoffurring(limedeposits).
Thedripping-wateroutletofthesafetyvalve(forEWHBasisNappli-
ances)mustalwaysremainopentotheatmosphere.
Thedripping-wateroutletmustbeconnectedtoadownward-pointing
drainpipewhichensuresunobstructeddrainageofthewater.
Filling:
» Afterconnectingthestorageheater,openthestopvalve.
» Thenopenthehot-watertap.Thestorageheaterisfullwhenwater
isdischargedfromthehot-watertap.
» Thenclosetheoutlettapandcheckthesystemforleaks.
Never connect the storage heater to the electrical power
supply without first checking whether the storage heater is
actually filled with water.
