Safely reduced speed (SG)
This test checks whether an overshoot of the safely reduced speed (SG)
is detected.
Safe software limit switches (SE)
This test checks whether
● an overshoot of the upper or lower limit values of the safe software
limit switch (SE) is detected,
● the monitoring limit values for SE comply with the desired machine
positions,
● the configured stop reactions and alarms of both monitoring channels
are initiated upon overshooting or undershooting of an SE limit value.

3.2.1

Criteria for conducting an acceptance test

The criteria for performing an acceptance test are obtained from the requirements laid down
in the specified directives and standards. The acceptance test is used to specifically check
that all safety, monitoring and stop functions - which are used in the NCK, PLC and drive -
have been correctly configured:
● Check the hardware configuration for completeness, correctness and mode of operation
● Test the safety program
– Check that the elements of the system library used in the safety program match the TÜV
– Test the correct mode of operation of the safety functions
– Consistency of the online safety program
● Test the safety functions integrated in the drive
– Test the implemented test mechanisms (forced checking procedure measures)
– Provoke the individual monitoring functions by specifically violating tolerance limits
