3.3 SINUMERIK 840D sl - system-integrated Safety Functions
Unexpected axis motion at speed setpoint ≠ 0
If a speed setpoint ≠ 0 is present, the active stop function SS2 is set, and the motor is at a
standstill (active SOS), the axis starts to move as soon as the acceptance test is activated.
If persons are in the danger zone, accidents causing death or severe injury can occur.
● Take suitable measures to ensure that nobody is in the danger zone.
Time limit
The acceptance test mode may only be active for a limited time - and only during a test. After
the parameterized time has expired, the drive automatically resets the acceptance test mode.
Even if the test has still not been completed. As a consequence, the test is canceled.
If it crystallizes out that the default value is too short, then the time limit can be increased using
the following parameters:
● Safety Integrated
– MD36958 $MA_SAFE_ACCEPTANCE_TST_TIMEOUT (time limit for acceptance test
– p9558 SI Motion acceptance test mode time limit (Control Unit)
