5-1 STEERING

Maintenance
The
steering column support,
relay
rod, outside arms
and
ski columns should all
be ct1ecked
for
tigt1tn~ss
as
often
as
possible. Loosenir1g
and excessive wear of any
of· these items
can cause
poor
handling.
The
steering
column support on the steering gate should be
dis-
assembled
and
lubricated
periodically. The ski
col-
umns
should
be lubricated
with grease every 20 hours.
Lubrication
of al
I other
steering
linkage
should be done
every
40
hours.
