Removing the Rear Axle, Track Removal
Install the rear spring.

The strength of the rear spring is adjustab le to two
positions according to snow and running conditi ons .
a) To make the steering more positive, the rear spring
should be hung on the front hook to raise the rear of
the machine.
b) To increase traction, the rear spring should be hung on
the rear hook to lower the rear of t he machine.

Install the inside .washer and plain washer, and secure the
rear pivot screw with the nut. After tigt1ten ing tl1e nut,
lock the nut with the cotter p in. .

The front ax le, rear ax le, and bogie wheel assembli es must
be taken out of the chassis in order to remove th e track .
Th e track can t hen be I ifted out of the chassis.

If the center Ii nk plate of the drive track comes o ff the
sprocket, the drive track rubber will be qui ckly wor n d ue to
contact between t he rubber and the sprocket.
Therefo re,
the drive track should be checked frequently.
