Skis and ski runners

Check the skis and ski runners for wear and damage.
Replace if necessary.
Ski runner wear limit a:
8.0 mm (0.31 in)
Ski wear limit b:
24.0 mm (0.94 in)

Avoid scratching the skis when loading and unload-
ing the snowmobile, when riding in areas with little
or no snow, or on sharp edges such as concrete,
curbs, etc. This will wear or damage the skis.

Steering system

Check the handlebar for excessive free play:
1. Push the handlebar up and down and back and forth.
2. Turn the handlebar slightly to the right and left.
If excessive free play is noticed, consult a Yamaha
dealer.

Lights

Check the lights.
Replace any burned out bulbs.

Battery

Check the fluid level and fill if necessary.
Use only distilled water if refilling is necessary. (See
pages 8-20 and 10-2 for more details.)
