SECTION I - GENERAL
PIPER AIRCRAFT CORPORATION
PA-28R-201, ARROW
This supplement supplies information necessary for the operation of the
(
airplane when the optional King KAP 100 Series Flight Control System is
installed. The Flight Control System must be operated within the limitations
herein specified. The information contained within this supplement is to be
used in conjunction with the complete handbook.
This supplement has been FAA Approved as a permanent part of this
handbook and must remain in this handbook at all times when the optional
King KAP 100 Series Flight Control System is installed.
SECTION 2 - LIMITATIONS
A. The autopilot must be OFF during takeoff and landing.
SECTION 3 - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
A. SYSTEM WITH AUTOPILOT ONLY
I.
In casc of Autopilot malfunction: (accomplish items a and b
simultaneously)
a.
Airplane Control Wheel- GRASP FIRMLY and regain
airplane control.
b.
AP ENG Button - PRESS to disengage autopilot.
B. SYSTEMS WITH AUTOPILOT AND OPTIONAL MANUAL
ELECTRIC TRIM
l.
In case of Autopilot malfunction: (accomplish items a and b
simultaneously)
a.
Airplane Control Wheel - GRASP FIRMLY and regain
aircraft control.
b.
AP DISC/TRI M INTER Switch - PRESS.
2.
In case of Manual Electric Trim malfunction:
a.
AP DISC/TRIM INTER Switch - PRESS and HOLD.
b.
PITCH TRIM Circuit Breaker - PULL.
