The water valve is operated at timed intervals controlled by the timer. NOTE: On the WU1000,
the timed intervals are controlled by the microprocessor board. The valve is designed to provide
satisfactory operation at water pressures from 18 to 120 p.s.i. Low water pressure will affect the
w a t e r v a l v e ' s a b i l i t y t o f i l l t h e d i s h w a s h e r w i t h i n t h e r e q u i r e d l e n g t h o f t i m e . T h e r e c o m m e n d e d
water temperature is 140"F. to 150"F. as it enters the dishwasher.

on 120 VAC. The water valve used on the WU1000 operates on 24 VDC. A two-solenoid valve is
used on built-in models to provide maximum protection against flooding in the event of a
mechanical failure causing the valve to stick in the open position. Should one section of the valve
f a i l , t h e o t h e r s e c t i o n w i l l s t o p t h e f l o w o f w a t e r .
Because this is a two-solenoid valve, it is important to remember both coils must be energized
and operating properly to get water. lf either coil should fail, water cannot get into the dishwasher.
