CAaITION: Always shut off electrical
power to dishwasher before beginning
any service procedure.
To Remove Door:
1 . R e m o v e f r o n t p a n e l . R e f e r t o @ F r o n t
P a n e l , a s n e e d e d .
With the door closed, remove the door
s p r i n g f r o m e a c h d o o r h i n g e . B e s u r e t o
r e t a i n t h e p l a s t i c g r o m m e t . N O T E :
Remove door spring from bottom of tub
s u p p o r t f i r s t .
D i s c o n n e c t a l l w i r i n g .
O p e n d o o r f u l l y . T h e n b r i n g d o o r b a c k u p
about one-fourth of the distance. Lift up
on the bottom of the door to disengage
t h e h i n g e s f r o m t h e h i n g e p i n s .
C o n t i n u e c l o s i n g t h e d o o r w h i l e l i f t i n g
u n t i l t h e h i n g e s a r e c l e a r o f t h e t u b .
3. Use a shim between the top of the door
and tub to compress the gasket at the
bottom. The shim can be made of
m a t e r i a l 1 / 8 " t h i c k , a b o u t 1 2 " t o 1 4 " l o n g
a n d 1 " t o 1 - 1 1 2 w i d e . T a P e r a l o n g
leading edge so door will close properly.
Lay the shim along the ledge of the door.
Close door and lock the door latch. With
d o o r i n t h i s p o s i t i o n , t i g h t e n d o o r
h i n g e s c r e w s a n d r e p l a c e s p r i n g s o n
t h e h i n g e s .
To Adjust Door (ln Or Out):
1 . O p e n d o o r a n d l o o s e n 5 / 1 6 " s c r e w
s e c u r i n g d o o r s t r i k e t o t u b .
2 . T o g e t m o r e t e n s i o n o n t h e g a s k e t , t a p
t h e s t r i k e i n . W i t h t h e d o o r p r o p e r l y
adjusted, the porcelain part of the door
should not hit any portion of the
p o r c e l a i n t u b .

extremely heavy door panel is used, it may
be desirable to add the booster spring to
these models.

D O O R A D J U S T M E N T
W h e n e v e r a d o o r , d o o r g a s k e t o r h i n g e i s
r e p l a c e d , t h e d o o r s h o u l d b e a d j u s t e d . T h e r e
are two adjustments involved for centering
a n d s e a l i n g t h e d o o r .
T h e h i n g e d m o u n t s w e l d e d t o t h e d o o r l i n e r
are slotted to provide positioning the door up
or down. This adjustment is used to position
t h e d o o r p r o p e r l y i n t h e t u b o p e n i n g .
The proper seal between the door gasket
and the recessed surface of the tub is
adjusted by loosening the door strike and
m o v i n g i t i n o r o u t .

2. Loosen door hinge screws and remove
springs on do or.
