R e m o v a l o f t h e d o o r s p r i n g s w i l l b e m u c h
easier if the dishwasher is disconnected from
the electrical, water and plumbing services
on undercounter (WU) models and then
pulled forward. On convertible (WC) models,
you will find partial removal of the cabinet will
aid in door spring removal and replacement.

NOTE: lf the installation on undercounter
models permits easy access for removal and
replacement of the door springs, it is not
necessary to remove the unit from its
i n s t a l l a t i o n .
To Adlust Door Springs:
T h e m a i n s p r i n g s w o u l d n o r m a l l y b e i n t h e
first hole of the spring bracket. lf the door
does not close completely, it may be
necessary to move the main springs back a
hole or two.
N O T E : C h e c k t o m a k e s u r e t h e u p p e r a n d
lower washbasket is not warped and making
contact with the door. lf contact is made, the
basket should be removed and pressure
exerted on the front of the rack to reform it.
The booster spring can be adjusted to
balance the door. Moving the booster spring
toward the rear will slow the opening and
improve on balance.
To Remove Door Sprlngs:
1. Remove hook at bottom first.
2. Remove top part of spring from hinge.
Retain plastic grommet for further use.
NOTE: When replacing the springs, make
sure the hooks point inward at both the top
and bottom.

only. lf an extremely heavy door panel is
used, it may be desirable to install a revised
hinge and booster spring.
To Remove Hinge:
1 . R e m o v e f r o n t p a n e l . R e f e r t o @ F r o n t

2 . R e m o v e d o o r s p r i n g s . S e e D o o r S p r i n g s .
3 . R e m o v e d o o r . S e e @ I n n e r D o o r , a s
needed.
4. Remove four screws securing door hinge
t o i n n e r d o o r , e a c h s i d e .

grease to hinge support where contact is
made between the hinge and support.

upper front of the door. lt serves several
functions.
