To Remove Heater Hook:
1 . R e m o v e f o u r s c r e w s s e c u r i n g a c c e s s
a n d t o e p a n e l s . R e f e r t o @ F r o n t P a n e l ,
A c c e s s P a n e l A n d T o e P a n e l , a s
n e e d e d .
2 . R e m o v e n u t a n d s e a l w a s h e r ( b o t t o m o f
tub) from heater hook and remove heater
h o o k .
THERMOSTAT
A t h e r m o s t a t i s u s e d t o m a i n t a i n o r i n c r e a s e
t h e w a t e r t e m p e r a t u r e o n c e r t a i n " O 2 "
m o d e l s . O n t h e W U 1 0 0 0 , t h e t h e r m o s t a t
serves to break the electrical circuit to the
h e a t i n g e l e m e n t , s h o u l d a m a l f u n c t i o n o c c u r
a n d t h e w a t e r c o n t i n u e t o h e a t f o r a n
e x t e n d e d l e n g t h o f t i m e . T h e r e i s n o
t h e r m o s t a t u s e d o n " 0 0 " o r " 0 ' 1 " m o d e l
d i s h w a s h e r s .

The thermostat is located directly behind the
te rm in a l b o x o n th e d ish wa s h er a nd is
mounted to the bottom of the tub.
CAUTION: Always shut off electrical
power to dishwasher before beginning
any service procedure.
To Remove Thermostat:
Remove four screws securing access
a n d t o e p a n e l s . R e f e r t o @ F r o n t P a n e l ,
Access And Toe Panels, as needed.
Remove both wire leads to thermostat.

R e m o v a l o f t h e t i m e r o n t h e W U 9 0 2 a n d
removal of the relay package on the
W U 1 0 0 0 w i l l p r o v i d e e a s i e r a c c e s s t o
the thermostat.
To Check Thermostat:
S h u t o f f e l e c t r i c a l p o w e r t o t h e d i s h w a s h e r .
W e r e c o m m e n d a c o n t i n u i t y c h e c k b e
p e r f o r m e d a c r o s s t h e t h e r m o s t a t t e r m i n a l s i n

s h o u l d s h o w a c l o s e d c i r c u i t ( c o n t i n u i t y ) . O n

s h o u l d s e e a n o p e n c i r c u i t ( n o c o n t i n u i t y ) .
