INFORMATION
Under certain conditions, dry efflorescence may form on
the heat exchanger surfaces. These can block the flue gas
path and thus reduce the efficiency of the condensing
boiler.
The efflorescence (see
on the fins of the upper heat exchanger tubes. They must
be vacuumed with a vacuum cleaner. Deposits between
the ribs can be loosened and removed using a plastic
brush (e.g. rinsing brush) with simultaneous suction.

INFORMATION
Deposits on the heat exchanger tubes must be vacuumed
dry.
Do not flush the combustion chamber first, because the de-
posits during flushing could possibly block the condensate
drain.

Checking for free condensate discharge from combustion cham-
ber:
After the dry cleaning of the combustion chamber, the free condens-
ate discharge must be checked.
▪ Pour approx. 1 litre of water into the combustion chamber and
check that it drains quickly via the condensate drain.
▪ If there are any signs of blockage (delayed, thin-jet discharge,
very long dripping), the heat cell must be removed and the con-
densate siphon integrated in the storage cover and condensate
discharge cleaned. The corresponding "GCU2_Heatcell" manual
can be found on the homepage on the back of this manual.
INFORMATION
When removing the heat cell, always replace the condens-
ate nozzle.
