Rectifying burner faults and STB
faults
DANGER: RISK OF BURNING
Risk of burns from very hot boiler body for STB malfunc-
tion.
▪ Do no let any metallic parts come into contact with the
boiler.
▪ Let the boiler cool down.
▪ Wear protective gloves.
INFORMATION
The cause of the last fault is saved in the device and can
be reconstructed, even after power failure, when the
device is restarted
Locking errors detected by the combustion control can only be re-
leased manually directly on the boiler.
Unlocking the combustion control:
Requirements: The cause of the fault has been rectified, the burner
is connected to the electrical system.

Switch on the GCU compact.

Push the Exit button
(Fig.
6-1, item 13) for at least 5 secs.
è The "Special Level" menu is displayed.

Use the rotary switch to select the "FA failure" level.
è Error code and "Reset?" request is displayed.

Select "Yes" with the rotary switch.

Confirm the changes with a brief push of the rotary switch.
è Error is reset.

Cancel and jump back by pushing the Exit button again.
STBK safety temperature limiter
If the STBK safety temperature limiter (see
cess temperature on the boiler body (e.g. low water or pump defect),
the sensor line to the flow temperature sensor is interrupted and
locks.
This generates an error message with code E12.
After the error has been rectified and the boiler body has cooled
down sufficiently, the STBK must first be unlocked (press the switch
button). The automatic combustion control can then be unlocked
(see above).

Emergency operation
Emergency heating operation can be maintained if the electronic
controller settings are incorrect by activating the special " Manual
Operation" function on the controller (see enclosed "RoCon BF con-
troller" operating instructions).
When the 3-way valves are intact, the GCU compact switches to
heating operation. The required inflow temperature can be adjusted
with the rotary switch.
