CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL
7. Loosen each of the four cylinder head bolts
evenly 1/8 turn each time in a cross pattern until
loose.
8. Remove bolts (A) and tap cylinder head lightly
with a plastic hammer until loose. CAUTION:
Tap only in reinforced areas or on thick parts of
cylinder head casting to avoid damaging
casting.
9. Remove cylinder head and head gasket.
CYLINDER HEAD INSPECTION
1. Thoroughly clean cylinder head surface to remove
all traces of gasket material and carbon. CAUTION:
Use care not to damage sealing surface.
