7. System Menu
This section discusses the web pages under the System menu:
• Update Firmware Page on Page 58
• Configuration File Page on Page 58
• Device Snapshot Page on Page 59
• Restore Defaults Page on Page 59
• Reboot Page on Page 59

7.1. Update Firmware Page

You can upload firmware (Modbus Router or Bootloader) using the System | Update Firmware page. You must
first unpackage the firmware from the .msi file.
Note: Optionally, you can use PortVision DX to upload firmware after unpackaging the .msi file.
Use the following procedure to upload the latest firmware onto the ICDM-RX/MOD.
1. If necessary, download the firmware from https://www.pepperl-fuchs.com.
2. Execute the x.x.msi file.
3. Click the Next button.
4. After reviewing the license, click I accept the terms in the License Agreement and the Next button.
5. Click the Next button or browse to the location you want the files stored.
6. Click the Install button.
7. Click Yes to the Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device pop up message.
8. Click the Finish button.
9. Open your web browser and enter the IP address of the ICDM-RX/MOD.
10. Click the System menu.
11. Click the Browse button, navigate to the file, select it and click the Open button.
12. Click the Update button.
An Update In Progress pop up notifies you with the upload duration, not to reset or disconnect the device or
to close the page.

7.2. Configuration File Page

You can use the Save Configuration option to save a ICDM-RX/MOD configuration file for recovery purposes or
to quickly configure other ICDM-RX/MODs that require the same configuration using the Load Configuration
option.
Note: Optionally, you can use PortVision DX to save and load configuration files.
