Input Monitoring

The status of the inputs and outputs can be monitored in the relevant measurement menu.
There are 8 Digital Inputs (20-264V AC / DC) in order to adapt to all kinds of applications in
400 series protection relays. In case of use of the I/O card, 10 Inputs are added to the CPM,
VPM and DPM. Inputs are optically isolated and programmable. The display on the device is
read-only; does not allow data entry.
The following figure shows the 'Input Monitoring' of the device. If the input value on the
input monitoring screen is "green", the input is active; if the in put value on the monitoring
screen is "grey", the input is not active. At the same time, the name of the input's assigned
function is also on the display. Green and red bars vertically aligned to the left of the screen
indicate respectively active and deactive information for the same inputs.

4.2.2 Output Relay Monitoring
There are 8 output relay with 8A / 250V AC contact capacity on the standard equipped
device. Relay trip times are less than 10 ms. Four of these relays have an inverted contact; the
other 4 are with closed contacts. All of these relays are programmable. Relay programming
can be adjusted from the Menu > Automatic Control > Output Relay Settings. The status of
the inputs and outputs can be monitored in the relevant measurement menu. The display on
the device is read-only; does not allow data entry.
If the input value on the input monitoring screen is "green", the input is active; if the input
value on the monitoring screen is "grey", the input is not active. At the same time, the name
of the output's assigned function is also on the display.
