Closing the front panels
To ensure interference-free operation, keep the front panels of the module closed during
operation.

Configuration in STEP 7

Configuration in STEP 7 - Overview
You configure the CP in the following configuration tools one after the other:
● STEP 7 V5
– Configuration of a proxy for the CP (PROXY CP1243-8 IRC) in an S7-300 station
– Configuration of the connected WAN networks and connections in the SINAUT
You will find the description of the procedure in the section Configuration in STEP 7 V5
(Page 48).
● STEP 7 Basic
– Configuration of further parameters of the CP, its data points and messages to be sent
– Downloading the project data from the engineering station to the S7 station
You will find the description of the procedure in the section Configuration in STEP 7 Basic
(Page 57).
You will find the required STEP 7 products and versions in the section Requirements for
operation (Page 19).

Configuration of connections
Remember to create the connections to be used by the CP in the STEP 7 V5 project.
