Before touching any equipment containing static sensitive components, discharge all static electricity from yourself by wearing a wrist strap grounded through a one megohm resistor. Some wrist straps, such as Vertiv Energy Systems Inc. Part Number 631810600, have a built-in one megohm resistor; no external resistor is necessary. -

Do not attempt to install the system if damage is apparent. If any damage is noted, file a damage claim with the shipping agency within 24 hours and contact Vertiv Energy Systems Inc. to inform them of the damage claim and the condition of the equipment. -

Precautions for the BBU to ensure safe arrival have been taken including UN/DOT packaging. If the packaging material is damaged, identify the unit and see if the device has damage.
