6.4.2 Video Viewer/Virtual Media
Using Video Viewer and Virtual Media enables you to operate the Server Blade monitor, and connect
floppy disks or CD/DVD drives from the client computer.
■ Checking and setting operating environment

Client computer specifications
Use a client computer that has the following condition.
• 650MHz Pentium CPU or above
• 128MB memory or more
• 10/100Base-T NTC or above
• XGA video card or above
• 800 × 600 resolution or above
• 256 colors or more

Operation check has performed in the following browsers.

When using Internet Explorer 6.0, setting the [Advanced Settings] values in the [Internet Options] to
the default values is recommended.
To set the default values, click the [Tools] – [Internet Options] in the browser, and click [Restore to
default] in the [Advanced Settings] tab.

Installing Java
Java 2™ Runtime Environment Standard Edition 4.2 or later must be installed.
Java 2™ Runtime Environment Standard Edition is stored in the PRIMERGY Startup Disc.
