Type

This option enables the user to manually define the IDE device
attached to the computer.
Settings Description
Not installed No device is attached.
Auto Automatically detect attached devices.
CD/DVD Attached device is an optical drive.
ARMD Attached device is an ATAPI Removable Media Device.

LBA/Large Mode

Settings Description
Auto Large Block Addressing is enabled. BIOS will use large block
addressing to access the connected IDE device. This is only
compatible with IDE devices that support LBA mode.
Disabled Large Mode is enabled. BIOS will use Cylinder/Head/Sector
translation to access the connected IDE device. This is
compatible will all drives.

Block (Multi-Sector Transfer)

Settings Description
Auto Data Is transferred in multiple sectors to and from the
connected IDE device if the device supports block data
transfer. Otherwise, data is transferred in single sectors.
Disabled Data is transferred in single sectors to and from the
connected IDE device.
