Essentials to get started

To use Matrox Morphis QxT, you must have a computer with at least the
following:
• An available x4 or x8 PCIe slot. You also require a free bracket location at the back
of the computer chassis for a Matrox Morphis QxT Digital I/O module, if needed.
This location need not be adjacent to the Matrox Morphis QxT base board.
• Processor with an Intel 32-bit architecture (IA32) or equivalent.
• A computer with a relatively up-to-date PCIe chipset. An up-to-date chipset is
recommended because it generally offers better performance in terms of data
transfer rates. To learn more about the most appropriate chipset, refer to the
Matrox Imaging website or consult with your local Matrox Imaging representative,
local Matrox Imaging sales office, or the Matrox Imaging Customer Support
Group at headquarters.
• MIL or one of its derivatives. This software should be installed after you install
your board.
• Microsoft Windows (consult the software package for specific supported
environments and computer memory/storage requirements).
• A CD drive, and a hard disk or network drive on which to install the Matrox
Morphis QxT software.
