Specific details on some of the functions you can program on
the programmable keys.
Name selection is the basic function for all programmable
keys and it means that a call can be initiated by pressing one
single designated key.
Note: "Name selection" is also called "Dial-by-name".
Name selection is used to obtain the following functions:
• Extensions or facilities can be called via a directory number
• External call subscribers can be accessed via a common
abbreviated number
• Postdialling to initiate facilities that are activated via postdialling
With this function, an external line is represented by a
pre-programmed key on the telephone. For each external
line, a function key has to be programmed. Which means
that you are able to monitor the state of traffic for every pro-
grammed external line (e. g. free, busy). You can also estab-
lish an external call by pressing the external line key.
