To ti e off threads when starti ng and ending quilti ng
1. Aft er the machine is threaded, move the machine over the quilt to your
starti ng locati on.
2. While fi rmly holding the tail of the needle thread, press the needle up/
down butt on twice, causing the needle to go down through the quilt
sandwich and then back to the up positi on. Or press and hold the up/down
butt on unti l the needle does a full revoluti on; then release the butt on.
3. Move the machine four to six inches while holding the needle thread in
place. The bobbin thread will pull up through to the top of the quilt.
4. Grasp the bobbin thread loop and pull it to the desired length. Repositi on
the needle to the starti ng locati on, and ti e off the threads by quilti ng a few
sti tches in place. Then begin quilti ng.

Free-Moti on Quilti ng

When quilti ng, relax your hands and maintain a light touch on the handlebars. Gripping
the handlebars too ti ghtly may cause body tension resulti ng in poor quilti ng quality. The

give you a smooth even glide while quilti ng.
