Preparing the Work Space

Upon delivery, Fisher Scientific incubators are not in a sterile state. Before the initial start-up,
the incubator must be decontaminated.
The following work space components should be checked for cleanliness and disinfected prior
to use:
• support rails (table-top units),
• shelf support,
• perforated shelves,
• work space surfaces,
• work space seals and gaskets,
• glass door

The embossings at [2] and [5] act as lateral guides for the support rails, while the embossings
at [1] and [6] secure the support rails in place. For the support rails to install correctly the
retaining spring [3] must be facing upwards.
