Shutting Down the Vehicle

If the vehicle has to be stored for an extended period of time, follow the chassis manufacturer's
shutdown and maintenance requirements.
Also:
Park the vehicle on a hard level surface, and apply the parking brake (see Figure 2-17).

Make sure that all moving parts are in their home position (tailgate, arm, hopper, packer, etc.).

Turn off, in sequence, the hydraulic pump (see Figure 2-21), the electrical system, the engine and

the master switch (see Figure 2-18).
Drain all air tanks (see Figure 2-19).
