Transition Networks SISPM1040‐3248‐L CLI Reference Chapter 1 ‐ Introduction The SISPM1040‐3248‐L switch is a next‐generation rack mount industrial grade Ethernet switches offering powerful L2 and basic L3 features with advanced functionality and usability. In addition to the extensive management features, the SISPM1040‐3248‐L also provides Carrier Ethernet features such as OAM, CFM, ERPS, EPS, and PTPv2 which make them suitable for industrial and Carrier Ethernet applications. The SISPM1040‐3248‐L delivers 16/24 (10M/100M/1G) RJ45/PoE+ (support 802.3at/af, and total up to 250W/370W) ports, 4 GbE SFP ports, 2/4 GbE/10G SFP+ ports and RJ45 Console port. The SISPM1040‐3248‐L provides high hardware performance and environment flexibility for industrial applications. 1‐1 Key Features DMS (Device Management System) built in Carrier Ethernet features for easier manageability, security and QoS IEEE 1588v2 PTP (TC) IEEE 802.3ah OAM IEEE 802.1ag CFM (ITU‐T Y.1731 Performance monitoring) ITU‐T G.8031 Ethernet Linear Protection Switching (EPS) ITU‐T G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) DHCP Server IPv4/IPv6 L3 Static route OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) Shared and Independent VLAN Learning (SVL and IVL) 1‐2 Manual Overview This manual describes how to operate CLI to manage the SISPM1040‐3248‐L switch. This manual is intended for use by network administrators who are responsible for operating and maintaining network equipment; consequently, it assumes a basic working knowledge of general switch functions, Internet Protocol (IP), and ...
Transition Networks SISPM1040‐3248‐L CLI Reference Chapter 2 – CLI Management 2‐1 Connect to the Network To connect to the network via the CLI: 1. Attach the RJ45 serial port on the switch’s front panel telnet configuration. 2. At “Com Port Properties” Menu, configure the parameters as below: Baud rate 115200 Stop bits 1 Data bits 8 Parity N Flow control none 2‐2 Login to the CLI The command line interface (CLI) is a text‐based interface. Users can access the CLI through either a direct serial connection to the device or a Telnet session. The default IP address is 192.168.1.1. The default username and password to login into the switch are: Username: admin Password: <none> Note: <none> means empty string After you login successfully, the prompt will be shown as “<sys_name>#“. See the figures below. It means you have administrator level privileges and can perform all switch functions. If not logged in as an administrator, the prompt displays as “<sys_name>>”, which means you have guest privileges and can only enter a subset of the commands that the administrator can enter. Each CLI command has its privilege level. 2‐3 CLI Command Modes The CLI is divided into several modes. If a user has enough privilege to run a particular command, the user has to ...
Transition Networks SISPM1040‐3248‐L CLI Reference Commands reside in a specific mode and can only be run in that mode. If a user wants to run a particular command, the user has to change to the appropriate mode. The command modes are organized as a tree, and users start in enable mode. The following table explains how to change from one mode to another. 2‐3.1 Change Between Command Modes Mode Enter Mode Leave Mode exec config Configure terminal exit config-interfcae Interface <port-type> <port-type-list> exit config-vlan Interface vlan <vlan_list> exit 2‐4 Global Commands SISPM1040‐3248‐L# ? Transition Networks SISPM1040‐3248‐L CLI Reference Command: router ospf Description: Configure Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) parameters. OSPF Version 2 (IETF RFC 2328) : OSPF is a link‐state routing protocol designed to run internal to a single Autonomous System. Each OSPF router maintains an identical database describing the Autonomous System's topology. From this database, a routing table is calculated by constructing a shortest‐path tree. OSPF recalculates routes quickly in the face of topological changes, utilizing a minimum of routing protocol traffic. OSPF provides support for equal‐cost multipath. An area routing capability is provided, enabling an additional level of routing protection and a reduction in routing protocol traffic. All OSPF routing protocol exchanges are authenticated. Syntax : area <area_id> authentication [ message‐digest ] area <area_id> range <ip_address> <ip_address_mask> [ advertise [ cost <advertise_cost> ] | not‐advertise | cost <cost> ] area <area_id> stub [ no‐summary ] area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> [ hello‐interval <hello_interval> ] [ retransmit‐interval <retransmit_interval> ] [ dead‐interval <dead_interval> ] area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> authentication [ null | message‐digest ] area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> authentication‐key { unencrypted <unencrypted_pwd> | encrypted <encrypted_pwd> } area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> message‐digest‐key <md_key_id> md5 { unencrypted <unencrypted_pwd> | encrypted <encrypted_pwd> } default‐metric <metric_val> do <command> end exit help network <ip_address> <wildcard_mask> area <area_id> no area <area_id> authentication no area <area_id> range <ip_address> <ip_address_mask> [ advertise | not‐advertise | cost ] no area <area_id> stub [ no‐summary ] no area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> [ hello‐interval [ <hello_interval> ] ] [ retransmit‐interval [ <retransmit_interval> ] ] [ dead‐interval [ <dead_interval> ] ] no area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> authentication no area <area_id> virtual‐link <router_id> authentication‐key ...

Transition Networks SISPM1040‐3248‐L CLI Reference Command: svl Description: Configure Shared VLAN Learning. Shared and Independent VLAN Learning (SVL and IVL) : Bridges can learn MAC Addresses from each received frame’s source address field, so that subsequently forwarded frames whose destination addresses have been learned can be filtered to restrict their transmission to the LANs necessary to reach their destination. Addresses learnt from frames with one VLAN Identifier (VID) may or may not be used to filter frames with another VID, depending on the capabilities of the bridge implementation and management controls. SVL: If learned information is shared for two or more given VIDs, those VIDs map to a single Filtering Identifier (FID) and the term Shared VLAN Learning is used to describe their relationship. IVL: If learned information is not shared, the VIDs map to different FIDs and Independent VLAN Learning is being used. Syntax: svl fid <fid> vlan <vlan_list> Parameters: fid Filter ID keyword <1‐4095> Filter ID <vlan_list> VLAN List Example: ...

This is a new implementation that shares no code with the original iPerf and also is not backwards compatible. iPerf was originally developed by NLANR/DAST. iPerf3 is principally developed by ESnet / Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. It is released under a three‐clause BSD license. See https://iperf.fr/.
