4. Press the [▲] or [▼] key to select the operating
channel you want to communicate on and press
the [SELECT] soft key.
5. Press the [YES] soft key to transmit the group
call signal.
6. After the group call is transmitted, the transceiver
will switch to the channel selected in step 6 above,
without changing the display. To change the
display, press the [QUIT] soft key.
7. Listen to the channel to make sure it is not busy, then key the microphone
and call the other vessels you desire to communicate with.
Group Call by Manually Entering an MMSI
You may enter an MMSI number manually to contact a vessel without storing
the MMSI in the Group Call Directory.

2. Press the [▲] or [▼] key to select "NEW ID", then
press the [SELECT] soft key.
3. Press the [▲] or [▼] key to scroll through numbers,
0 to 9.
4. Press the [SELECT] soft key to store the number
and step to the next digit to the right.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the MMSI is complete.
If a mistake was made entering in the MMSI number, press the [◄] or [►]
key repeatedly until the wrong number is highlighted, then press the [▲]
or [▼] key to correct the entry.
6. After the ninth number has been entered, press the [FINISH] soft key.
