4. Intercharacter and Intermessage Delays

（1）Intercharacter Delay
An intercharacter delay of up to 5000 milliseconds (in 5ms increments) may be placed
between the transmission of each character of scanned data. Scan the Intercharacter
Delay bar code below, then scan the number of 5ms delays, and the Save bar code
using the Programming Chart
To remove this delay, scan the Intercharacter Delay bar code, then set the number of
delays to 0. Scan the Save bar code using the
cover of this manual.
Note: Intercharacter delays are not supported in USB serial emulation.
（2）Intermessage Delay
An intermessage delay of up to 5000 milliseconds (in 5ms increments) may be placed
between each scan transmission. Scan the Intermessage Delay bar code below, then
scan the number of 5ms delays, and the Save bar code using the
inside the back cover of this manual.
To remove this delay, scan the Intermessage Delay bar code, then set the number of
delays to 0. Scan the Save bar code using the
cover of this manual.
